About this costume
Selection Process: I have always wanted to cosplay Jasmine - before Moana, she was the princess I thought I looked like the most (Mulan, maybe, but I feel I don't look as Chinese, especially since I have naturally tan skin).
Construction: I used an old Butterick pattern for Aladdin costumes, and I had purchases the beautiful sequin fabric for a huge discount when my local fabric warehouse was clearing them out, so it had been in my stash for a while.
